Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BeardoBot ("BeardoBot", "we", "us" or "our"), including the BeardoBot Discord bot and the website at beardobot.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

BeardoBot provides a DayZ killfeed, statistics, leaderboards, an in-game virtual economy, factions, zones, a shop and server-management tools, delivered through a Discord bot and an accompanying website. Features may be added, changed or removed over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the minimum age required to use Discord in your country (at least 13) and must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, Bohemia Interactive (DayZ) or Nitrado.

3. Accounts and access

Access is provided through your Discord account. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account and for maintaining the security of your Discord login. Administrative features are available only to users with the appropriate roles on a connected Discord server.

4. Server owner responsibilities

If you connect a game server to the Service, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and to provide any credentials (such as Nitrado API tokens) required. You are responsible for how you configure and use the Service in your community, for complying with applicable laws, and for informing your players about data processed through the Service. You must not use the Service to process data you have no right to process.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any third-party terms (including Discord's);
abuse, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted;
exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage in the virtual economy or any feature;
harass other users or misuse moderation and server-management tools.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms.

6. Virtual items and economy

Any in-Service currency, items, ranks or rewards are virtual, have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be adjusted, reset or removed as part of normal operation of the Service (for example a server wipe). Purchasing a premium subscription does not purchase virtual currency or items.

7. Premium subscriptions and billing

Premium features are offered on a paid subscription basis. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and billed monthly.
Payments are processed by PayPal. By subscribing you also agree to PayPal's terms. We do not store your full payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and premium features remain available until the end of the period already paid for.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact billing@beardobot.com.
We may change subscription pricing or features; we will give reasonable notice of material changes, and changes will not affect a billing period you have already paid for.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Discord, Nitrado and PayPal. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for outages or changes outside our control.

9. Availability and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always be accurate or preserved. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeardoBot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or virtual items, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
